SEO PowerSuite Review
As I’ve said earlier the SEO PowerSuite is basically a suite of SEO tools that comes packaged as a bundle. It includes four apps - Rank Tracker, SEO Spyglass, Link Assistant, and finally the Website Auditor.
Let me review these tools one-by-one, and let you know all the features that these apps have got to offer you.
#1. Rank Tracker
Rank Tracker is the tool that lets you track your search rankings for the keywords. The manual keyword rank tracking is just not feasible when you have more than one site and have a dozen of keywords to track.
First off, let me tell you the three unbeatable reasons, why you need to consider tracking your keyword rankings over time.
- To let you know whether the SEO efforts you are putting is really bearing fruits for you.
- To let you know, if the rankings have been declined due to any penalty. By this, you can easily spot out the offending post and do the necessary things before things go out of your control.
- To keep you motivated by quantifying your efforts.
For using this app, you first need to enter the site URL you need to track.
Once you enter the URL of the website you want to track the keywords of, you’ll be offered to enter the list of keywords you want to track.
As you can see in the above screenshot, I’ve added some keywords to track the rankings of. Once you hit next, you can select the search engines among Google, Bing, and Yahoo to track the rankings.
The tool will display the rankings of your site for the keywords you mentioned. You can track the progress of your site in terms of rankings over time in the form of a graph or a history.
The tool will also help you to calculate the keyword difficulty by analyzing the link profile and on page SEO factors of the top 10 results that are ranking in Google.
The competitive scores are pretty accurate and almost comparable to tools like KWFinder and LongTailPro.
The next section, the most important one is that of keyword research.
You can also add manual keywords for keyword research. The SEO PowerSuite does the job of pulling out relevant keywords from Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, Autocomplete, Yandex search, related searches, Yahoo! Search assist, Analytics, Search console, and three other services and techniques.
For every keyword, a KEI score will be given which stands for Keyword Efficiency Index. It is the mathematical division of the square of the search volume over the competitive score.
Overall, the SEO PowerSuite does a great job of enabling you to carry out the keyword research in a proper way.
These are all the features that Rank Tracker app has got to offer you.
#2. SEO SpyGlass
Let us know about SEO SpyGlass in this section.
Once you enter the URL, the tool will pull you up the backlinks for the domain.
In the above report, you can see some of the backlinks I got for my post on LSI keywords, as entered the term LSI in the search box above. You can also add powerful filters to the report to get the most relevant backlinks of your competitors that matter the most to you.
There are also many features provided by this tool like Inlink score, penalty score, and backlink traffic.
- Inlink score refers to the quality of the backlink. It is based on the quality and quantity of the backlinks, a backlink has.
- The penalty score is also calculated based on the quality of backlinks a backlink has and it is inversely proportional to the inlink score.
These two are very great metrics in determining whether the backlinks you are getting is of high quality or detrimental for your site’s future.
The next feature of the SEO SpyGlass is the domain comparison feature. It lets you compare a domain in your project with 5 other domains in terms of the backlink profile and other related metrics as shown in the below screenshot.
With this feature, you quickly get to know what are all the areas you need to focus on to get a competitive edge to your competitors.
The next great feature is that of "Link Intersection". This tool helps you to find the backlinks that are common in some domains. With this, you’ll get to know what are all the backlinks your competitors are getting and you aren’t.
As like that of other tools, you can also generate backlink reports for backlink details, domain comparison, and others.
These are some of the main features that the SEO SpyGlass has got to offer you.
LinkAssistant that lets you carry out your link building process effectively. It lets you easily find low-hanging link prospect ideas.
As like any of the tools of SEO PowerSuite, you need to first enter the domain URL which you wish to build links and find prospects for.
The LinkAssistant will pull up a huge list of the sites in your niche which you can easily build links from.
If you are not satisfied with the link prospects LinkAssistant returns you, you can find prospects using the “look for prospects” feature.
In the next step, you need to enter some keywords that are relevant to your niche. For example, in order to find prospects for my blog, I would enter the keywords like - Blogging, SEO, and WordPress.
Once you complete these steps, LinkAssistant will present you the low-hanging link prospect opportunities in front of you to exploit.
You can also pull in the prospect quality factors like social shares, domain inlink score (how trustworthy a prospect is), domain age, of your prospect URLs as shown below.
As you may have observed above, the LinkAssistant pulls the email address of some of the link prospects. There’s a button for you to shoot the email right inside the dashboard.
Before sending any emails within the dashboard, you need to first enter the POP3 settings for the LinkAssistant to send and receive your emails.
Once the email settings are entered, you can send outreach emails to the prospects right inside the app.
The LinkAssistant also provides you a plethora of email templates for you to use.
You can also schedule the emails to be sent on a particular date and time. The job will be scheduled in the SEO PowerSuite cloud and you need not do anything on your end.
LinkAssistant has also an inbuilt browser for you to harvest the prospect URLs manually and also fill-in feature that allows you to build links fast.
#4. Website Auditor
Website Auditor is a great app for you to audit your web page when it comes to on-page SEO and crawlability.
Let’s look at some of the features that this app has got to offer you.
First, you need to enter your website URL in the project.
Once you enter the URL, this app will crawl the page and give you insightful data about on-page SEO, open graph data, social media and also page traffic.
As an overview, you’ll be showing the internal links and as well as the outbound links that are present in the URL you entered while creating an audit project.
The app also scrutinized whether the page complies with some of the best SEO practices. It checks your page with 30 on-page SEO, speed factors and lets you know what are the things you can do to solve the SEO issues (if there are any).
It also presents you the list of external links and internal links in your page. In the above example, I don’t have any internal links. It lets you quickly know whether the links in your page in broken. This type of broken link checking is light on servers unlike that of broken link checking WordPress plugins that crash the servers.
It lets you quickly know whether the links in your page in broken. This type of broken link checking is light on servers unlike that of broken link checking WordPress plugins that crash the servers.
In the “Page Audit” section, you can check your content against your target keywords and whether you comply to the keyword optimization best-practices as shown the below screenshot.
Now, using the content editor you can edit the content on your page on the front end trying to get a higher SEO score.
After doing the necessary changes, you can save the file and upload it or the content to your website to boost on-page SEO of your content.
Another feature that this tool offers is the TF-IDF feature and it stands for “frequency-inverse document frequency formula”.
Let me put it simply.
As you can see, it pulls all the unique keywords that you’ve mentioned in the article and presents you the count of the top 10 ranking sites that have also used the same terms. The app also gives you recommendations to use the keywords that your competitors are using but you aren't to get an SEO competitive edge.
This feature is absolutely great for doing LSI keywords research. Rather than scouring your competitor pages for the additional semantic keywords they’ve used, this feature by Site Auditor is a hassle-free way to make sure that you are including all the keywords that your top SERP competitors have included in the content.
This is my favorite feature when it comes to Site Auditor app. This feature is crucial for the age where LSI keywords are very important for making your content topically relevant in the eyes of Google.
Another great feature is that you can export the audit report as an HTML or PDF file. This will be very useful when working with your clients.
Search Safety Settings
If you’ve read until this point, you may have observed that the SEO PowerSuite mainly crawls your site for auditing it, scrapes Google data for finding link prospects.
As you may know that programmatically, repeatedly conducting Google searches may result in captchas and delays.
That’s why the SEO PowerSuite comes with search safety settings. Here are the three options for you to search safely with SEO PowerSuite.
- Human Emulation - This allows you to put some delay between the automatic queries and also delays between browsing to and fro the SERP pages.
- User Agents - This lets you fake the queries to Google from diversified user agents like mobile, desktop, tablet, or any specific sites like Facebook and so on. You can set your own user agents.
- Proxy Rotation - If you already have a proxy subscription or have a list of working proxies, you can enter those proxies on this settings page.
- CAPTCHA Settings - The main problem associated with repeated Googling is the captchas (those annoying image recognition captchas that are meant for machine learning by Google). You can get an anti-captcha service either from SEO PowerSuite itself or Death By Captcha. These two are paid services but they do come at a dirt-cheap price.
Pricing of SEO PowerSuite
There are three plans SEO PowerSuite comes with. The free version is very limited and you can’t save the projects you are working on which is really a great limitation. And also, the free version imposes some restrictions on the data generated per report.
Whereas, the pro and enterprise licenses come with unlimited data, saving projects in the cloud, and also scheduling SEO tasks like emailing, generating reports, etc.
The pro plan is sufficient for most of the users. If you are working on clients’ websites for SEO, then the enterprise license may be suitable for you.
All these premium plans do come with a one-off price. You’ll receive all the future updates and feature-additions for the rest of your life. For the price, the features offered by SEO PowerSuite is unbeatable.
Or, you can try the pro and enterprise plans free of 14-days!
As you may have noticed that the SEO PowerSuite comes with a plethora of creative features for you to do SEO campaigns effectively. If you would not like to shell out hundreds of dollars in multiple SEO cloud tools, then SEO PowerSuite would be great for you.
For the one-time price, the features and apps that the SEO PowerSuite has got to offer, you are really outstanding.
